I am still ringing the alarm to expose the spirit of witchcraft. If you missed last week’s post on Hoodwinked Into Witchcraft, click here.
Witchcraft is a Satanic spiritual power that seeks spirituality, knowledge, or power apart from God. This is Satan’s realm, and he excels in counterfeiting what God does and says.
Let me put it this way. The kingdom of darkness is a replica of God’s kingdom. The major difference is God produces goodness, and the devil produces evilness.
We are going to unpack more on the story of our first parents, Adam and Eve. Read Chapter 3:8-13 and 17.
And the Lord God commanded the man saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may eat; “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die Genesis 2:16-17.
It doesn’t matter what the enemy says, stand on your spiritual conviction about what did God say. This going to be the pretense of the fall from God’s presence - not being obedient to his commands.
We understand from the scriptures that the conscience of the man and woman was opened because they had eaten from the tree of knowledge. They had made a sinful decision and deed to disobey the voice of God.
Satan tempts us. God test us. When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; (James 1:13). God does not tempt us to violate His law.
Let’s define temptation. Temptation is coveting something that is prohibited by God.
When they hear the voice of God, they hid from the presence of God (Genesis 3:8). We must understand that we cannot hide from God. He knows all that is in heaven and earth (Jeremiah 23:24).
God did not create us to hide out. We are created to live in His presence. Sin effects the condition of our hearts and it alters the good and it births evil desires. It’s clear that when you sin, you hide.
The man and woman attempted to cover themselves (Genesis 3:8). The Spirit of God will convict you of your wrongdoing.
Covering up the sin is an attempt to silence the conviction.
As you continue reading the scripture passage, you will see that God asks questions to unpack their spiritual condition. Once we invite sin in, it mutates and invites the spirit of shame and sometimes blame. All evil surfaces when we fall into temptation.
Let me be clear. What unfolded between man and God is the very thing that we do to today. We make excuses for why we did it. I don’t believe we will get to stand before our great king and make excuses we didn’t know right from wrong; good from evil.
The bible is our manual and the blueprint to holy living; and prayer is the spiritual tool for God to give us understanding and revelation of His word.
No more excuses! Pick up the word and read. Open your mouth and pray.
Failing to grow in God introduces sin, and sin becomes a stronghold. Interesting enough, the devil will put a hold on you but he will not fight for you. When God exposes your sin, you never see the devil show up to fight on your behalf. This should be enough to know that the devil cares nothing about you. He only wants to lead us astray.
The next area of exposure is you can’t blame others for sinning, not even the devil (Genesis 3:12). You must take accountability for your actions. What God did by creating the woman for man was good. What they did was evil.
You also can’t deflect on God with his word. Wow, is all I can say when this dropped in my spirit. How many of us say well nobody is perfect or we quote the scripture Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. This is what the man did in (Genesis 3:12) and we too do the same thing.
As I was reading this passage again, a thought-provoking question came to mind: what was wrong with just knowing good. This is going to be the reminder we need today to confess our sins so that we may return to our God, who is good.
What God says should be enough to keep us. There is no way we can live without him! He is the truth and the light! And if you want to live right, you must surrender again to the will of the Father that is the forgiver of all sins.
Join Me In Prayer
Heavenly Father, we invite you in this moment to examine our hearts. Uproot the sin within us, we turn back to you. The one that loves us so much to not leave us in our spiritually dead condition. We repent of our sins and renounce right now. Come into our hearts and live on the inside of us again. We need to get back to you - the great king that you are. Thank you for healing our souls on today. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
