Hoodwinked Into Witchcraft.

God has called me to ring the alarm and warn the body of Christ about the spirit of witchcraft. Yes, this topic is necessary because it is running rapidly in today’s world and most of us are unaware that this is a trick of the enemy.

Let’s define hoodwinked. It means to deceive or trick someone.

Satan works to deceive kingdom citizens. Since the beginning of time, even with Eve in the Garden of Eden, there was the spirit of deception. Satan works to divert our human hearts away from God (Genesis 3:1).

The Devil will never reveal the dangers of disobedience.

Satan enticed Eve with the suggestion of power, self-realization, and spiritual enlightenment. He suggested the benefits of eating from the tree. The Devil will never reveal the dangers of disobedience.

Enticement is a branch to witchcraft. The Spirit of Deception is seductive and manipulative. Satan and his kingdom are working overtime to cause many to fall away from the faith. How does he do this? He causes us to doubt the word of God and then to deny it. Not just verbally, but with our actions of walking away from God altogether. He makes you a skeptic and then an atheist.

The Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons (1 Timothy 4:1).

God is forewarning us to be aware of the schemes of the enemy. When we dapple in witchcraft, we enter the realm of Satan’s kingdom.

The enemy wants us to waver in our faith so that can he allure us away from the faith. We must understand that the enemy will never reveal the penalty of breaking God’s commands.

God calls us to live holy and acceptable lives. Practicing fortune-telling, or using sorcery, or interpreting omens, or engaging in witchcraft, or casting spells, or functioning as mediums or psychics, or calling forth the spirits of the dead is detestable and forbidden (Deuteronomy 18:9-14).

The penalty for breaking God’s commands is a sin and the wages of sin are death (Romans 6:23).

The devil hoodwinked Eve and led her astray - separated her from the love of God. He’s still doing this today.

Often what’s popular lacks biblical principle.

Pray for God to activate the gift of discernment within you so that you are not tempted to follow what’s popular. Often what’s popular lacks biblical principle.

How does the devil hoodwink us into witchcraft?

  1. He attacks when we are spiritually weak. When you do not pray, read your word and meditate on the word day and night, he attacks with enticing temptations.

  2. He engages in conversation when you are isolated. When you break fellowship in the church (your local assembly), you break the strength and safety of the community to guide you on your journey.

  3. He finds you near the wrong location. When your eyes, ears and heart are wandering off into forbidden areas because of what or who you are watching, listening to, or even things or people that your heart is tied to.

  4. He tempts us. He tempts us so we may cause those that are assigned to us to stumble and fall.

Join Me in Prayer for a Discerning Heart

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as the true and living God. The light of the world. We come right now asking for you to search out hearts and if you find anything within us that is not like you, take it out of us. Remove any and all rebellion, wickedness and divination from our hearts. We repent of ours sins, blot out our transgressions and renew a right spirit within us. We renounce the willingness to sin and we surrender again to your will. Father, grant us wisdom to discern the issues of this life. Thank you for hearing from heaven and healing us. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
