The struggle to grow is real. But how many know God is realer? Doesn't this sound like a preached sermon, where everybody shouts?! P.S. Don't come for us, we know realer isn't a word!
We're kidding around, but seriously, the enemy fights our process to grow in our walk. Why? The deeper we grow, the greater we know about Christ and the purpose he has for us on earth.
We have to be committed to the growth process no matter what the enemy tries to do to stop us. He comes with his best game, but we have to stay on our God game to defeat him every time.
Andy Mineo said it best, "If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready! Maybe he's not the first, to quote it, but I heard it first in his Christian rap song, and it stuck with me. <<<<<< Calandra's experience
Are you ready to grow?
1. Got #Faith?
You can't please God without faith. Without faith, it's impossible to believe in spiritual things. Your human logic will choke the life out of your spiritual growth. That's why you need faith. If you are hoping to grow in Jesus - you need faith.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).”
We have confidence that Jesus is real, he died for our sins and arose with all power in his hands. Although we didn't see the actual scene, we have assurance through the word of God that it happened. And because we believe in the God of the bible, we have access to his promises that are manifesting in our life through much prayer.
2. What's up with your #prayer life?
Prayer is talking to God all day every day. Dang sis that's a lot! No, it's not. We promise you when you ask God for a praying spirit he will endow you with it. You won't stop praying. You'll pray in the car, on a walk, in the store, in the shower, wherever you are.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done (Philippians 4:6 NLT).
You don't have to pray like anybody else. Don't let the enemy trick you into thinking your prayers won't be answered because of how you pray or what you have to say.
I used to thank God for the trees, clouds and birds. He still answered by giving me that view from my bedroom window every day. It may be small to you, but that was big to me when I was growing in my faith and developing a prayer life. <<<<<<Calandra's testimony
It's through prayer that we learned how to pray, what to pray, when to pray, and how to persevere through trials.
3. Girl, are you #preserving or nah?!
Sis, our spiritual growth develops through our ability to preserve through the hard seasons in our lives. Your God-given destiny doesn't come easy - it comes with a fight. A fight to develop, access, and be everything God has called you to be. The enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy your destiny before you ever access it.
“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation (Romans 5:3-4 NLT)."
Rejoice knowing everything you are striving for is achievable if you partner with Christ every day with joy in your heart. Your goals are achieved through him alone. Through perseverance, you can reach your destiny.
