Shed The Pain

Your desire to move forward must outweigh your current pains -T'Edra Jackson

Let's be honest moving forward is no easy task. However, for us to move forward we must be intentional and willing to move past our pains to fulfill the promise of God.

Moving forward is like a snake shedding its skin. A snake sheds its skin for continued growth. You will have to shed some tears and pain to grow into all that God has created you to be.

A snake never stops shedding until it dies, just as you are not supposed to stay stuck in your pain or frustration. It is only a season to help stretch you to who God has called you to be.

When you look back on your life , you want to be able to say that I shed pain for my purpose

I shed tears to get through the test to the testimony

I shed selfishness to selflessness

As I thought about moving forward is very similar to a snake shedding its skin I discovered two things.

1. A snake never goes back to the skin that it shed from, the skin it shed is too small. It is not conducive to where it is trying to go. Sometimes you must shed the things that are holding you back.

2. I also discovered when snakes have trouble shedding their skin, the skin can accumulate especially around the eyes and cause the snake to get multiple eye caps and eventually become blind.

If we do not shed the things and people that hinder our growth, we cannot move forward. If we can't move forward we are stuck in a repeated cycle and our eyes become blind to the blessings of God

Shed the pain Shed the tears Shed the heartbreak

After you shed it you can move forward and grow to become all that God has called you to be.

Keep going sis, I'm rooting for you
