Hello Family, How is it going?!
Today I want to share a prayer with you. I created this blog from my prayer journal. Yes! You can journal your prayers.
Despite how I feel, I want to declare that “This is the day the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 NKJV
To my Bible scholars that just read the scripture above, The NKJV version says “WE” will rejoice, but I made it personal, and I added “I” will rejoice. 😉
Dear Heavenly Father,
Lord, I thank you for a new day. I thank you for the new grace and mercies you give every morning. Before I get the day started, God, I ask that you help me shift my perspective and focus on your faithfulness and your sovereignty.
Philippians 4:6 commands me not to be anxious or worried about anything. In every circumstance and situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make my specific request known to you, God.
God, you did not create me to worry, but I have allowed anxiety to exhaust me. At this moment, I beseech you to endow me with abounding faith to combat fear and uncertainty in my mind.
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”1 Peter 5:7 NLT
Jesus, I give all of my anxiety and worries to you. I lay them at your feet. Please help me trust you are working everything out.
Every concern-
Every worry-
Every anxious thought.
In Luke 12:24-26, Jesus said to HIS disciples, “Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?”
Luke 12:24-26 NLT
Thank you, Holy Spirit. Thank you for peace. Thank you for a renewed mind and a new outlook. With every worry and concern that I’ve had in the past, you have taken care of them all; Why have I allowed anxiety to consume me? You made a way out of no way then.
I’m confident if you did it before, I have Faith that you will come through again!
I have Faith that you have already worked it out.
I am favored by you, there is no need to fear.
In your word (both Old and New Testament), you have affirmed me you will never leave nor forsake me.
The heaviness that I was feeling has been lifted!
“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Philippians 4:7 AMP
Thank you for your love, Father, thank you for your peace. In Jesus name, Amen!
Because of my intentionality in seeking the presence of God during journaling my prayer, I’m not finishing this prayer feeling the same way when I began writing. 🙌🏾😭
