The definition of courage
/ˈkərij/
the ability to do something that frightens one.
When we are frightened in our spirits about an obstacle we are facing in the natural we must not seek the counsel of others. In our frightened moments we become vulnerable because we are viewing our situations from a natural perspective.
We must inquire with the Lord on how to handle the opposition we are facing.
Sometimes that requires fasting, in order to seek God on a deeper level of intimacy.
Praying. 1. Acknowledging who God is. 2. Confessing that He is Lord and our sins - intentional and unintentional. Thanking Him for everything. Supplication through making our request known to Him.
Through #fasting and #prayer, God gives us the spiritual power to surrender to Him. We have the ability to come under the subjection to the Holy Spirit of realizing that we can do nothing without God.
When there is nothing left to do - all we can do is stand before the Lord and wait for His spirit to fall fresh upon us.
Don't try to fight spiritual battles in the natural.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Spiritual battles can only be fought through prayer and fasting. I use to try to fight my battles in the physical until God corrected me one day and taught me how to fight my battles.
Through prayer your fears and discouragement are removed because you're no longer leaning on your own understanding but you're trusting in the Lord. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
2 Chronicles 20:15 ‘Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
